READING CLUB
Readers’ High
Book Club
Readers’ High Book Club is an initiative of Eqra Foundation to promote the habit of reading, increase the readership base and most importantly, create a network of readers in Jammu and Kashmir, India.
Features of Book Club
Quiz
A quiz is conducted each month during the monthly meeting based on the ‘Monthly Pick’. The winner is awarded with a copy of the club’s next read.
Monthly Log
Weekly Check-ins - Accountability: The club diligently maintains a comprehensive log, meticulously documenting the reading progress of each member following a weekly check-in and a gentle reminder. Learning about the progress of fellow members encourages others to keep going, if and when they need assistance, one of the members reaches out.
Monthly Pick
Each month, a book is carefully selected to be read collectively by all club members in order to learn different perceptions of the same piece of work. The club members come up with recommendations and we collate them for our future picks.

3.Update your reading progress of the ‘monthly pick’ as well as the other books you are reading on the WhatsApp group.
4.Add recommendations of books and authors in the common document shared with all.
5. Sometimes, the ‘monthly pick’ may not belong to one’s preferred genre. In such cases, the concerned members are recommended to try to get out of their comfort zone. 6.One may also form a smaller reading group with one or more other members as per one’s reading preference. Keep rest of the members updated about the smaller group.
7.Share about the book club with other readers (from Jammu and Kashmir).
